The coup attempt at our Nation’s Capital has ushered in a new wave of chaos, violence, and national shame that will take years to undo. This mob of President Donald Trump’s supporters overwhelmed police, forced lawmakers into hiding, and occupied the floor of the House and Senate among other violent acts. In this episode of Let’s Talk About Race, our roundtable of hosts confront the ugly truth behind the violet riot in Washington DC, which has become the new "Shot Heard 'Round the World". 

Our segment The Faith Report dives into the role of the White Evangelical Church has played in stoking the fires of division and White Nationalism. Many of whom have blurred their allegiance to Donald Trump with their Christian beliefs in what they believe is the next evolutionary step,  “Trump-ianity”.

Despite this attempted upheaval, Joe Biden will be President and Kamala Harris will be Vice President. The Democrats continue to have control over Congress, and thanks to Georgia, they now have control of the Senate. Georgia flipping the Senate is still a cause for celebration with both Warnock being the first Black man and Ossoff being the first Jewish man elected by the state. So, will this truly make a difference with the turmoil that we’re seeing in the United States of America?
